VSG 99703 Description

The Notch Rope Runner Vertec is the next generation of the Rope Runner series, designed by Notch in collaboration with Kevin Bingham, building directly on arborist feedback from the widely adopted Rope Runner Pro. The Vertec solves the field problems that experienced users identified: on-the-fly friction adjustment without tools, mid-line attachability without requiring slic pins, and smoother modulation across a wider range of rope and carabiner pairings.

Seven friction settings give the climber precision control over ascent and descent resistance without stopping to adjust a set screw or change a spacer. Settings are tool-free, a simple adjustment in the canopy without the need to reach for anything in the gear loop. Mid-line attachment without slic pins eliminates the setup step that slows rigging when switching from SRS to MRS or when tending the device while aloft.

An integrated tending point allows attachment to a chest harness, compatible with the Notch Magneato, keeping the device oriented and accessible without a separate tether. Recent refinements based on post-launch arborist feedback have improved tending smoothness across more rope and carabiner combinations.
