VSG NSFS-W3 Description
The Notch Wear Safe Friction Saver is a steel-ring friction saver built around a patented innovation: Wear Safe rings with the industry’s first wear indicator marks. The marks tell the climber when the ring has worn to the point of retirement, eliminating the guesswork of visual ring inspection and supporting compliant equipment lifecycle management. Other friction savers require experience-based judgment about ring condition; the Wear Safe removes that uncertainty.
The steel rings provide a 33% wider bend radius than standard rings, reducing stress on the climbing line where it contacts the device and extending rope life in regular use. CNC-turned finish is smoother than standard hot-forged alternatives, further reducing rope abrasion at the contact point. Rings are hot forged steel, individually serialized with a data matrix for track-and-trace capability, and rated at 30kN MBS (both small and large rings).
The 1-inch multi-layered nylon webbing is fray-resistant, custom-woven to resist twisting, and brightly colored for visibility in the canopy. At 36 inches, the saver is long enough for a false crotch setup on most branch diameters. CE Certified, meets ANSI Z133. Replaces NSFS-36.

Hot forged steel rings are rated at 30kN MBS and individually serialized with a data matrix code for track-and-trace capability supporting equipment inspection programs.
Multi-Layered Fray-Resistant Webbing
1-inch multi-layered custom nylon webbing resists fraying and twisting during use, bright coloration maintains visibility in the canopy for easy setup and retrieval.
CE Certified, ANSI Z133 Compliant
