VSG 40078 Description

The Notch 8-inch Felling Wedge is the mid-size option in the Notch felling wedge lineup, suited for larger-diameter timber where the 5.5-inch wedge may not provide sufficient lift to open the back cut and prevent saw pinching. Made from high-impact ABS plastic with a double taper for easy initial placement, and textured surfaces on both sides to resist backing out during driving.

The Easy-Head grip provides a clear, secure striking surface when driving the wedge with a mallet or maul. Color-coded heads distinguish size at a glance in the field. Built-in ruler indicators on the sides allow the operator to monitor wedge depth and cut progress. Wear safety glasses when driving. Available in 5.5-inch, 8-inch, and 10-inch sizes.
