The Notch 5.5-inch Felling Wedge is a core piece of equipment for tree fellers, used to open the back cut and prevent the saw from being pinched when dropping a tree. Made from high-impact ABS plastic, the wedge is double-tapered for easy initial placement and features a textured surface on both sides to resist backing out during driving.
The Easy-Head grip gives a clear, secure striking surface when hammering the wedge into the cut with a mallet or maul. Color-coded heads distinguish size in the field without reading labels. Built-in ruler indicators on the sides allow the operator to gauge wedge depth and cut progress at a glance. Wear safety glasses when driving. Available in 5.5-inch, 8-inch, and 10-inch sizes.
