The ISC Wales Steel Hard D Carabiner is a heavy-duty rigging carabiner built for arborist, rescue, and industrial applications where steel strength is required over aluminum. Constructed from heat-treated alloy steel with a plated finish, the offset D shape shifts the load toward the stronger spine of the carabiner, maximizing the effective strength of the steel while reducing the load on the gate.
A 50kN minimum breaking load and 16kN proof test certification set this carabiner well above the loading demands of typical arborist rigging configurations. The double-action single-locking gate requires two distinct motions to open, providing a practical balance between accidental-release protection and speed of operation during active rigging work. Gate opening is 20mm, providing enough clearance for standard rigging rings and hardware.
ISC Wales produces all hardware to 100% inspection standards, each unit is individually checked before shipping, not batch-sampled. Conforms to all relevant European (EN) and ANSI standards. Made in Great Britain.
