An industry first: the STIHL TS 500i STIHL Cutquik is the first handheld outdoor power tool to offer an electronically controlled fuel injection system. By eliminating the choke entirely, starting becomes a simple three-step process — set the switch to on, prime, and pull. The fuel injection system delivers over 15% more power and performance compared to carbureted cut-off machines in the same class, with optimal torque maintained throughout the RPM range.
The 5.30 HP engine powers 14-inch (350mm) cutting wheels for all-purpose building, civil engineering, and road construction work. Electronic Water Control (EWC) lets the operator easily adjust water flow to the blade while cutting and automatically stops water flow when the machine returns to idle — eliminating manual valve adjustments between cuts. The X2 Air Filtration System achieves 99.96% cleaning efficiency through cyclone pre-separation, keeping filter service intervals extremely long even in high-dust cutting environments.
STIHL ElastoStart shock-absorbing starter handle, semi-automatic belt tensioning for extended belt and bearing life, and anti-vibration system for operator comfort round out a machine that raises the standard for fuel-injected cut-off performance. Semi-Automatic Belt Tensioning
Re-tensions the belt automatically to maintain consistent tension, extending belt and shaft bearing service life and reducing replacement frequency on construction sites.
STIHL ElastoStart
ElastoStart starter handle with built-in shock absorber reduces pull-cord effort and smooths out compression peaks for easier, less fatiguing starts at the beginning of each shift.
