The Sterling HMS Autolock Carabiner is an aluminum HMS-shaped carabiner designed for belaying, rappelling, and anchor use. The HMS (Halbmastwurf Sicherung) shape increases the gate opening and provides a large, smooth rope-running surface, while the wide basket design accommodates knots and multiple ropes while preventing cross-loading, a practical advantage at belay stations and multi-rope anchor configurations.
The triple-action autolock gate requires three distinct motions to open, providing secure accidental-release protection during dynamic loading situations. A keylock nose eliminates the hooked profile on conventional carabiner gates that can snag on ropes, harness loops, and bolt hangers, making clipping and unclipping faster and cleaner in both arborist and rescue settings.
Each unit is individually serialized with a Data Matrix code that is Scannable-enabled for track-and-trace capability, supporting equipment inspection logs and lifecycle management required by commercial arborist safety programs. CE certified to EN 362. Aluminum construction; made in Taiwan.
