For a limited time, Richardson Saw & Lawnmower is offering $50 off the regular price of Echo PB-770 backpack blowers. The PE-770T and PE-770H are Echo’s most powerful blowers, and both models are a great choice for homeowners and professionals.
Similarities
Echo’s PB-770 backpack blowers are powered by a professional grade 63.3cc two stroke engine with reduced fuel consumption. Both feature up to756 CFM blowing performance. Average air speed is 96 mph, and the maximum air speed is 234 mph. The see-through fuel tanks have a 68.3 fluid ounce capacity.
In both models, the air filtration system is side mounted and heavy duty. The large pleated paper filter with foam prefilter makes for reduced maintenance and longer engine life. In both models, the throttle is variable speed and includes cruise control.
Both the PB-770H and the PB-770T are designed for operator comfort. A vented back pad ensures user comfort even when working in hot weather, and the shoulder straps are extra padded to ensure superior comfort while operating the blower. The flexible tube with wide-angle rotation offers a full range of motion while working, and helps make the blower easy to store.
Differences
Both of these Echo backpack blowers are lightweight, but one is a little heavier than the other. The PB-770T model weighs 23.8 pounds, while the PB-770H weighs 24.3 pounds.
The main difference between these two models in in the throttle. On the PB-770T, the throttle is mounted on the tube, which means the blower can be operated with one hand. The PB-770H has a short hip throttle, which is preferred by some users.
Which One Is Right For You?
Since there is only half a pound difference in how much these backpack blowers weigh, the weight probably will not influence your decision as much as throttle position does.
Both the tube mounted throttle on the PB-770T the hip mounted throttle on the PB-770H are easy to reach. With the tub mounted throttle you can keep one hand free while using the blower, though the cruise control feature means you can often have a hand free when using the PB-770H as well. Ultimately, the decision will be based on what you feel most comfortable with. If possible, try out both models in the store so you can see which throttle position you prefer.
Richardson Saw & Lawnmoer’s sale on these Echo backpack blowers is available until May 6th, 2013.
