Owner's Warranty Responsibilities
This industry faces many challenges with today’s reformulated fuels that require customers to take additional steps to properly store and maintain their equipment. Gasoline will oxidize and deteriorate in storage. Old gasoline will leave deposits and cause difficulty in starting.
During evaluation of carburetors we have found the majority of the problems were the result of improper storage or bad fuel, not defects in workmanship or quality and not a warrantable problem. The distributor’s limited warranty and Richardson Saw and Lawnmower’s warranty does not cover fuel system damage or engine performance problems resulting from poor fuel or inadequate storage of fuel.
Richardson Saw and Lawnmower will not be responsible for our workmanship or 30-day warranty if it has been abused, neglected, or improperly maintained and that such abuse, neglect, or improper maintenance was the direct cause of the need for repair or replacement part. The warranty repairs should be completed in a reasonable amount of time, not to exceed 30 days from date of original repair.
Richardson Saw and Lawnmower will repair or replace, at its option, any part that is proven to be defective in material or workmanship under normal use during the applicable warranty time period.
Richardson Saw and Lawnmower disclaims any responsibility for loss or time or use of product, transportation, commercial loss, or any other incidental or consequential damage.
