Getting Ready for the Season
Start marketing your holiday light installation services in late October or early November as people are getting their homes and businesses ready for winter. Most Christmas light installation companies work throughout November and the first part of December getting their clients’ lights put up. Then, they start taking the lights down in January.
You might have some inventory from last year (possibly purchased in a post-Christmas sale), but make sure you test it out before installation. Taking some time to check your inventory and plan out what you’ll need to fill your client’s orders helps you plan what you’ll need to purchase at the start of the holiday season.
What You Can Expect from Our Lights
Our lights are C9 LED bulbs. They shine bright and are more energy efficient than traditional incandescent bulbs. For customers that like the look of incandescent, our LED filament bulbs reproduce that look with all the advantages of LED.
Our faceted LED lights come in two tiers. Both offer UV protection, consistent color, and a 3-year warranty. The Basic bulbs have a lower price point and are made from a breakable polystyrene shell. Our longest-lasting LED bulbs have a sturdier polycarbonate shell and they’re sealed to make them waterproof.
Decorate with Wreaths and Bows
Though our focus is on lights, classic string lights aren’t the only holiday decorations we offer. We also carry balled LED minis (also called concave, stubby, or wide angle lights), holiday-themed LED signs, a 6-foot “No Petal Tree,” and lighted wreaths and garlands.
The garlands and wreaths feature 5mm lights with Oregon fir that provides a full, rich pine appearance in a variety of lighting color combinations. You can also pick up red velvet bows in three styles and several different sizes.
Don’t Forget Safety and Installation Gear
In addition to lighting products, TXF and Richardson Saw also carry tools and gear to help with installation. Here, you’ll find electrical tape, extension cords, timers, and more to make installation easy. We also carry commercial-grade clips and stakes to make sure all your hard work stays right where you want it.
To help keep you safe when working on roofs, we carry Cougar Paw boots designed by roofers. Patent-pending technology makes for a more stable grip. They’ve been tested on roofs up to a 12:12 pitch. In addition, the Peak Series Pads in these boots absorb heat, making it more comfortable to work on roofs warmed by the sun. We also carry the Pitch Hopper, which provides a temporary working surface on asphalt roofs.
