Buy arborist gear online

Here at Richardson Saw & Lawnmower, we carry an up-to-date selection of quality arborist tools. We have one of the largest inventories of arborist equipment in the area, and we regularly update our inventory to match the requests and recommendations of our regular customers.

We carry high-quality equipment for professional arborists from brands like Samson Rope, Weaver, Buckingham, CMI, and DMM, and now you can shop for it online as well as in the store. The ropes, climbing equipment, rigging accessories, and safety gear all work together to provide the safest and most reliable climbing experience available. We also carry cutting tools for professional arborists, including top-handle chainsaws.

Ropes

Sampson’s ArborMaster, Vortex, and Velocity ropes are among the strongest, most reliable in the business. Sampson Rope started designing ropes specifically for arborists in the 1970s, and they’ve been supplying the highest quality products ever since. These ropes are available in different sizes, strengths, working loads, and weights so you can find a perfect rope for every need.

We also carry rope bags so you can protect your investment and store line without tangling it. The bags also help you feed-out lines without getting them caught in twigs and branches.

In addition to Samson Rope, Richardson Saw & Lawnmower carries lightweight and durable Weaver loop runners. These loop runners are made from tubular nylon webbing and serve as medium-duty choker straps. We also carry Armor-Prus prusik lines with stitched eyes that are tested to meet a minimum 5,000 pounds tensile pull.

Climbing equipment carried by Richardson Saw & Lawnmower includes throw weights and lightweight throw lines, to get climbing ropes into the trees. We also carry flip lines—safety lanyards used for spur climbing and in-tree work positioning. Other climbing gear includes a variety of Buckingham tree climbing spikes and climber accessories like pads, guards, and straps.

Rigging accessories include J-hooks, tree grips, and galvanized eye bolts that can be used with wire or arborist rope to create a rigging or mounting point. To see a larger selection of available climbing and rigging accessories check out Buckingham’s online catalog and DMM’s rigging management tools.

Safety

b1ab0801033The list of arborist safety equipment overlaps quite a bit with the climbing and rigging equipment. Reliable rigging, eye tails, hooks, and harnesses all help keep you safe while working up in the trees. Just one example of the safety equipment we carry is safety hooks made with double lock gates to prevent accidental disengagement. Many are also designed to be easy to open when you’re wearing gloves.

For safety harnesses, Buckingham’s harnesses and saddles are specifically designed for use by arborists. They offer a wide range of ergonomic, lightweight, and heavy-duty saddle designs to fit different arborist needs. There are also style variations within the different categories. Buckingham also offers saddle accessories like back-saver pads, accessory rings, and equipment pouches.

We also carry wearable safety equipment like helmets and chainsaw chaps. In addition, special gear like the chainsaw strap and aerosol can holder ensures that you don’t drop anything while climbing.

Cutting Tools

Arborists can use many of the same tree cutting tools that homeowners and landscape professionals use—including hand pruners and the types of chainsaws that are commonly used for felling trees and cutting firewood. We carry those tools here at Richardson Saw, along with specialty cutting tools for arborists.

Pole pruners are useful tools for trimming branches that are farther out of reach. We carry both hand-operated and powered models. Our powered pole pruners include models that are cordless electric and others that use a gasoline engine.

Top-handle chainsaws designed for in-tree use are one piece of equipment that we only recommend for professional arborists. We carry several in-tree chainsaws from STIHL and ECHO, including ECHO’s CS-2511T which is the lightest gas-powered chainsaw in North America and the most powerful in its class.
