Flip lines are a type of safety lanyard used for spur climbing and work positioning in the tree. The name comes from the traditional use during spur climbing, where the lanyard is “flipped” higher up the tree. This flip line contains a 1/2″ x 10 ‘ braided polyester cover over a 1/4″ galvanized steel wire core. Auto-locking steel swivel snap has a breaking strength of 5000 LBS. The 1/4″ steel aircraft-grade cable forms an eye at each end over a steel thimble. A lot of arborists will use a rope grab which is great for adjusting flip lines.
Flip lines are also sold in 1/2″ x 12’ (LAN103)
