The Echo Pro Attachment Series (PAS) is an economical way to keep a variety of tools on hand. Seventeen commercial grade attachments – including trimmers, edgers, cultivators, blowers, and power pruners – are all interchangeable for use with a single power source. Maintenance is easier, because only one engine needs to be maintained for a variety of tools. Each power source features a commercial grade 2-stroke engine, and attachments can be changed quickly without the use of additional tools.
Power Sources
The PAS-225 power source is designed for residential use. It is available from Richardson Saw & Lawnmower by itself or as part of an attachment bundle that includes a blower and trimmer. It is not compatible with the straight shaft edger, ProSweep, ProThatch, ProPaddle, or bed redefiner attachment.
PAS-230 and PAS-266 are the most versatile PAS power sources. They are compatible with all attachments except the bed redefiner. The PAS-230 features Echo’s Power Boost Tornado engine for increased power and longevity, and the PAS-266 features an i-30 system for easy starting.
The PAS-280 has a 28.1 cc engine, making it the most powerful PAS power source with no increase in weight over the PAS-266. It compatible with 14 different attachments, though it is not compatible with the hedge trimmers and curved shaft trimmer.
Trimmers and Pruners
A wide range of cutting tools are available as attachments for Echo PAS systems. The curved shaft trimmer attachment cuts a 16-inch swath and is able to precisely trim tight areas. The Pro-Torque attachment cuts a 17-inch swatch and provides up to 50% more torque than the standard or rapid-loader trimmer attachments. The brushcutter attachment is equipped with an 8-inch cutting blade for heavy-duty trimming.
Echo’s hedge trimmer attachments come in two styles: a fixed position 20-inch blade and an 18-inch blade that can be adjusted along a full 180-degree range in 15-degree increments. The pole pruner attachment’s cutting head has a 10-inch bar, with 8-feet of reach when attached to the power head. Both hedge trimmers and the pole pruner can be lengthened using a 3-foot extension attachment.
Edgers and Cultivators
Curved and straight-shaft edgers with 8-inch cutting blades allow for deep, clean edging around sidewalks and garden beds. The Bed Redefiner is a patented edger that has a 6-fingered, replaceable claw with brazed tips for redefining the edge of a neglected flower bed. It is only compatible with the PAS-280 power system
Echo’s tiller/cultivator attachment has a 6.5-inch tilling swath. As a mini-garden tiller, it is lightweight and more maneuverable than full-size tillers. It is useful for cultivating in established flower beds, working the soil in raised beds, and weeding more easily than with a spade or hoe.
Clean-Up 
For cleaning up after a a job, there are three attachments for the PAS system. The blower attachment has 100 mph air speed and will work with all four power supplies. The ProSweep and ProPaddle attachments will clean a 22-inch wide swatch and work with the PAS-230, PAS-266, and PAS-280.
