The chainsaws all have high performance 2-stroke engines with Echo’s Pro-Fire ignition system for easy starting. Certain pruners also feature easy-start systems. All the chainsaws are equipped with vibration reducing technology for operator comfort, and all the pole pruners come with shoulder straps so they are easier to use and control.
Chainsaws
Top-handle designs include the Echo CS-271T and Echo CS-303T chainsaws. The CS-271T is one of the most lightweight chainsaws available, weighing only 6.6 pounds. The bar length for this chainsaw is 12 inches. The CS-303T is slightly larger, weighing 7.7 pounds and with the option to choose either a 12- or 14-inch bar length. The Echo CS-355T is equipped with longer 14- to 16-inch bar lengths.
Rear-handle chainsaw models can use longer bars. The CS-8000 is Echo’s largest chainsaw, and it can be used with 24-, 27-, 32-, and 36-inch bar lengths. Each of the different saws offered by Echo has unique properties, so you’ll be able to find a chainsaw with features that work for your specific tasks. For example, the CS-590 Timberwolf Chainsaw is a farm and ranch chainsaw with a more powerful engine than the other Echo saws to handle more demanding tasks. It uses 18- or 20-inch bar lengths
Pole Pruners
Fixed length or telescoping pruners put taller tree limbs within reach, so you can cut them from the ground instead of standing on a ladder or climbing into the tree. Echo has several lengths and handle configurations to choose from, all on lightweight pruners with easy-to-use controls. The pruners range in size from the fixed-length PPF-225, which is 93 inches long, to the PPT-280, which is 158 inches long when extended. There is a 36-inch extension available for the PPF-225 to make it more versatile. Most of Echo’s pole pruners use a 12-inch cutting bar, except for the PPF-225’s 10-inch bar.
Echo’s mid-range pole pruners are the PPT-266 and the PPT-266H. Both are telescoping pruners, with a collapsed length of 107 inches and an extended length of 146 inches. The aluminum inner drive shaft and fiberglass outer shaft provide strength and rigidity while keeping the pruners lightweight. The main difference between these two models is the handle style. The PPT-266 has an in-line trimmer-style handle and weighs 17.2 pounds. The PPT-266H has an ergonomic loop handle, and weighs 17.4 pounds.
